About Red Barn Farm

Growing good things...

Our roots in farming started in Southeastern Idaho in the vast potato and wheat fields.  Back where the school children used to get a few weeks off in the fall for "Spud Harvest".  So, in a sense growing great produce from the land that has been entrusted to us runs through our veins.  And we really did graze through our Grandparent's gardens and helped out with canning and preserving.

We were transplanted here in Kitsap County over nine years ago.  It took a few years to become aquainted with the growing season and the crops that perform well in the Maritime Northwest.  With such a long growing season, it is drastically different than what we remember from the Idaho desert.

If you ask either one of us, we will gladly claim that "I started it first!" when it comes to farming.  But, we both mutually agree that eating GOOD food from the land that we steward is a passion we feel in our hearts!

Oh, and along with great produce, our kids are the best, too!
